“ I stayed 20 minutes in front of Chairman MAO ”

In today’s “press point” in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I asked ttwo questions to the spokes-man.
One is about the opinion from French government to the news released bym Japanese Ministry of Defence that they would buy RAFALE from France; the other one is about the result of the visit to three countries in Asia [...]

Un Dimanche de Campagne

Un Dimanche de Campagne
That’s the programme I was invited to last Sunday, in France 2.
They want to hear again what I said about the nick-names given by Chinese to the major candidates.
So there is “Napoleon”, “Fresh Air”, and “the Third guy of the couple”…I let you guess who is who, for Nicolas Sarkozy, Segolene Royal [...]

200 mayors worldwide

I was with 200 mayors from 136 countries tonight in the museum of Modern Arts of Paris.
Bertrand Delanoë, the socialist Mayor of Paris, also the co-President of UCLG (the United Cities and Local Government) had given a welcome cocktail to his counterparts.
I was the ONLY journalist in this cocktail, following the suggestion from the PR [...]

Findings on my way

I had driven a lot these days. Noticed several interesting things on my way.
First, the big advertising boards everywhere with a very simple white background, written: N’AYEZ PAS PEUR ( Not to have fears). Very nice marketing idea… I do not know how many people could guess the connection between this advertising, and ……………………
the Pope.
Also, [...]

But I have no idea how could his speech saying he would not continue for the 3rd session of presidency in France, right at the eve of his 40 anniversary [...]

Woman’s Day

China women still have the priority of one-day break (though only one day, but better than nothing!).
I remember that the 8th March also means holiday for the children when we were in the school because all the female teachers normally would be organised by the school board for a free cinema, which means no class [...]

My first “date” with Bayrou

The nickname I gave to Segolene (actually it was what we called her in some Chinese media, not created by me), also she still does not want to give interviews to foreign medias had made a big scandal. I read lots of articles quoting all these.
So for Bayrou, I should be careful, as I am [...]
